Protest blocked

The police have blocked the protest march led by UNP Leader Ranil Wickramasingha from proceeding towards Parliament.

The group was blocked at Ethul Kotte which led to the UNP MPs having to return back to the UNP Headquarters Sirikotha.

Senior UNP MPs Sajith Premadasa, Dayasiri Jayasekara, Rosy Senanayaka, Ranjan Ramanayaka, Mangala Samaraweera and Karu Jayasuriya participated in the protest along with Wickramasingha. (MB)

    What a joke. If you are protesting by your heart you should have ignored all blockings and marched towards the parliament. Ranil you don't have that kind of leadership and your time is up.
