HOW old was this patient, hope this is not a boy who was killed by a pedophile doctor

Kira Kira Tuesday, 27 July 2010 04:38 PM

Have one nurse or attendant to look after each patient ,that will solve the unemployment problem. We already have
one govt. servant for every 19 people which is a world record.

If you see the quality of service ( personal care, attention and compassion) given by the Doctors, Nurses and attendants in Colombo National Hospital towards poor patients, this is not a surprise.

If he wanted to commit suicide, why do it in a hospital????
And why a sheet? Why not some pills?

    citizen1 Tuesday, 27 July 2010 01:24 PM

The moral of the story is: if you want to succeed in ending your life, you may visit either the hospital or the police station.

"The patient was found dead in the 23rd ward of the hospital with saline drips still pinned to his arms."

Think it would have been very difficult for him to hang himself! Sounds like foul play!

Ibnu Batuta Tuesday, 27 July 2010 10:42 AM

    Wasantha Tuesday, 27 July 2010 09:53 AM

It is natural that every patient expects considerable attention while being in a hospital.Once disregard by the loved one or the doctors & nurses, poor guys would become frustrated and lasting relief is attained to death. We cannot see anything wrong in his action in a banana republic.

    CW Tuesday, 27 July 2010 09:52 AM

Before blaming others find the cause. Did we not have patients commiting suicide before?

    Anura W Tuesday, 27 July 2010 08:21 AM

No end for suicides even after defeating suicidal terrorism.

    Nandimithra Tuesday, 27 July 2010 09:27 AM

And he will as usual give at least two versions for the death. That must have been his PhD thesis.

    Concerned Tuesday, 27 July 2010 09:20 AM

You mean to say the Colombo General hospital is a haunted place with no human being in that, so no body saw this person was trying to commit suicide?

    Bakamoona Tuesday, 27 July 2010 09:18 AM

Strange! Generally patients go to a hospital to cure themselves and escape death. Yet this particular patient had gone to a hospital to embrace death. Everything going in reverse gear now in this country.

Were the Nurses, attendants, doctors and the patients all sleeping during this time of suicide.
Well,we need Sherlock Holmes to investigate the logical reasoning.
Yet again a suicide just after a self immolation.
Is the government forcing its citizen on a suicide mission????.
