UN top official due in Sri Lanka

UN Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs Jeffrey Feltman is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka on Saturday, the UN said.

Addressing the daily news briefing, Spokesman for the UN Secretary-General,StéphaneDujarric said that”…Feltman plans to meet with senior officials of the Government of Sri Lanka, political parties and civil society groups.”

This will be his first visit to Sri Lanka, and he looks forward to discussing with Sri Lankan leaders various issues of mutual concern, he added.
