A new Board of Directors and chairpersons were appointed to Rakna Arakshaka Lanka Ltd, Lanka Logistics & Technologies Ltd and the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission today.

President Maithripala Sirisena handed over the appointment letters to the new members at the Presidential Secretariat.

Victor Samaraweera was appointed Chairman of the Rakna Araksha Lanka Ltd and K.M.P. Karunanayake was appointed to the Board of Directors of the Telecommunication Regulatory Commission while Asanka Dodanwela was appointed the chairman of Lanka Logistics & Technologies Ltd.

There should be a transparent systematic way for these appointment to be by merit. Other wise all we get is one set of friends relatives of the previous govt replaced by friends and relations of the heads and Ministers of this govt.
