Mervyn confirms resignation

Deputy Minister Mervyn Silva confirmed a short while ago that he had resigned from the post of Deputy Media Minister but added that journalists would be welcome in his home at any time.

He added that he held no grudge with any Minister following his resignation.

Silva, while being emotional said that he was sad in leaving his post but sternly added that no one could sack him from any post other than the President.
