This government seems not to care or take any action for inocent people who have been cheated by so may crooks. In which part of the world can we hope for some relief to our problems as nothing will be done in this land of Sri Lanka. May we all some day attain "HELL"

You know Babanis there are some prudent bankers who are attahed to LKs bank has deposited millions in GK....hard earned money from Property unit!!!!

    lasith Tuesday, 28 September 2010 02:29 AM

It is only the tip of the ice-berg. After defrauding millions of rupees. It is up to the officials to see whether he has violated any undertakings given to the Supreme Court and if so severely punish him for false declarations. It is the same with other Directors as well. They have not declared their entire loot robbed from innocen depositers.

    Marco Tuesday, 28 September 2010 02:14 AM

Why do still smell "Politics" in this whole Kotalawela fiasco ??

    babanis Tuesday, 28 September 2010 02:09 AM

This is daylight robbery. Probably they forgot that they had this in the vault. The authorities should immediately liguidate this asset by getting a court order and distribute the money to the poor people who deposited their hard earned money in the Golden Key Company. It should be noted that I have mentioned "HARD EARNED MONEY OF THE POOR PEOPLE" and the small depositors should be paid off in full.
I am speaking on behalf of the depositors and not a depositor with this company in any way as I am a prudent Banker who knows the risks that are tied up to high deposit rates.

"Money is the Root of All Evil" This is retribution.

CID kindly find LTTE Treasure missing in Wanni at the end of war .
many kilograms of Gold , Jewellery , Foreign Currency, Local currency Valued over billions of Rupees.
then only say you are doing a good job. that is our judgement.

Nihal Amarasekera Tuesday, 28 September 2010 01:25 AM

May have kept the jewellery safe to take them when they go on the long journey to meet their "creator". After all they were supposed to be very religious and Philanthropic; wasn't they? Poor souls and the hoodwinked depositors.

    Elaris Tuesday, 28 September 2010 01:15 AM
