The JVP will hold discussions at its next politburo meeting regarding UNP Deputy Leader Karu Jayasuriya’s call to form a joint opposition alliance, JVP leader Somawansa Amarasinghe told Daily Mirror online.

He said the meeting is to be held in a week’s time but said a date has not being fixed yet.

The UNP Deputy Leader had last week called on the JVP and other opposition political parties to join forces to oppose the government. (YP)
