Its not a matter Who organized this event. This hartal is not new, this event was organized by Batticaloa muslims for remebering one of worst barbarism of LTTE.

Common now that the stupid war is over pls don't just provoke the remaining to their graveyard just for the sake of politics....!!!....True we respect the dead...but then again its all past now try to live a bright future....!!!!

LTTE is no more! Against whom is this hartal then? Against Karuna or pilleyan? Heh,Heh!
Mohamed Shafraz Tuesday, 03 August 2010 06:20 AM
Whats wrong in memorializing their friends and family members? Only they know their pain.
Naseer Tuesday, 03 August 2010 06:58 AM
Fully agree. There should be a purpose why we are remembering those events and what are the benefits. Also, there are better ways of remembering those events.
Hatim Tuesday, 03 August 2010 07:03 AM
This hartal is organised by whom? And why?
Mushi Tuesday, 03 August 2010 07:32 AM
Guys!! Tamils still remember Black July, Sinhalese still remember massacre of monks and muslims still remember massacre of people inside mosque and so on..True, the war is over and we should unite for the sake of the country. But, still it is not easy for people to forget the havocs caused by 30 years of brutal war. This is why even the army erects war monuments in North as future generations should know, there was a brutal war in the past for them to learn lessons..DHA, No politics in this..
RajasH Tuesday, 03 August 2010 07:43 AM
Tamils also have the right to erect monuments for their, sons, daughters, husbands, brothers, sisters who perished in the 30 years war and who are heroes to their family. But the same army is demolisihing those Tamil heroes monuments while building monuments for the army. This is not paying respect to human life and in poor taste.

Are LTTE leaders heros for you ?? There are certain tamil heros, but not LTTE clowns. I don't think you are a LTTE supporter.
