Colombo Magistrate today released three senior Army officials and a journalist who were arrested for allegedly conspiring with former Army Commander Sarath Fonseka to topple the government.
The suspects discharged included Major General Upali Edirisinghe, Major General Sunil Silva, Brigadier Duminda Keppetiwalana and journalist, Ruwan Weerakone. (FTT)

In addition of releasing the 4 persons reported in the news items, did the Colombo magistrate freed General Fonseka from alleged involment of plotting a coup to over through the government. Because this was the main reason for arresting the General in the first place.
