Karunatilake Amunugama designated to Germany

Former External Affairs Ministry Secretary Karunatilake Amunugama has been named as the ambassador designated to Germany while present Indian High Commissioner Prasad Kariyawasam has been named as the ambassador to the United States.

The external affairs ministry said that Prof.Sudharshan Seneviratne has been named as the High Commissioner to India.

“The naming has been already done by the Ministry.These appointments will be given once the High Posts Committee of the Parliament gave its confirmation. The Committee will gather probably in next week,” Ministry’s Public Relations Officer Satya Rodrigo said. (LSP)
