Chamal sworn in as speaker

Former Ports and Aviation Minister Chamal Rajapaksa was elected as Speaker at today’s inaugural sessions of the seventh parliament. Priyankara Jayaratne was elected as Deputy Speaker. He held this post in the previous parliament as well.

    congratulations . Hope he will excel in this position ONE three wheeler driver I met in SL commented that he does not mind the Rajapakses owing the whole of SL ,as they can now go about without the fear of being blown up to pieces . Some people though not educateed have more sense than the educated in SL . !!!. it is envy and jealousy of the success of the Rajapakses that some people cant swallow.
