Bus kills girl sparking violence

Angry mobs took to the streets and stoned passenger buses in Galle after a young girl was run-over and killed by a bus in the area this morning. Reports from the area said that two police officers who went to the area to conduct an inquiry were also attacked by the mob. The driver of the bus involved has been taken into police custody  . (GS)

    MOST OF THESE PRIVATE BUSES ARE OWNED BY POLICE OFFICERS. THIS IS WHY THEY DON'T RESPECT THE ROAD RULES. SHOULD INVESTIGATE AND CANCEL ROUTE LICENCES.
