I wish to convey my Congratulations. I will never forget what you did for us when my mother suddenly passed away while we were on holidays from overseas in Dec 2016 in Jaffna when you were the Northern Commander. You never knew us but personally came that evening to the Jaffna Hospital. Asked me what could be done. Did all the negotiations to arrange a vehicle to take my mum back to Colombo and get the body released as soon as possible. Even arranged a navy officer to travel with the vehicle back to Colombo incase we get stopped by the police as we were driving back to Colombo at midnight from Jaffna with my mum's body. I wish you all the success in your new role. I know you will exhale in this role.
