Moragahakanda reservoir was declared open by President Maithripala Sirisena a short while ago.

The Moragahakanda Dam is a high gravity dam with a height of 65 meters.The dam has created the Moragahakanda Reservoir, which has an active storage capacity of 521,000,000 cubic meters, and is four times bigger than the gigantic Parakrama Samudraya in Polonnaruwa.

That is malicious coming from a MR stooge. MS had wanted this done years ago but priority was for Mattala.This reservoir will provide electricity to the grid and also water for cultivation .Any good must be appreciated

I'm at a loss to understand why is this relegated to a lesser important slot of today's news. This should've been on banner headlines. The country is immensely benefited by development projects NOT whether bond issue is taken to courts or otherwise. Of-course the culprits should be punished and banished but give the importance where and when it's deserved. Thank you.
