Next two years period is sufficient enough to rectify the weaknesses. But it requires efficient and effective actions to show tangible results before next election. President Sirisena should act as late president Premadasa by using his power to eliminate corruption, improve the discipline among entire population, facilitating agriculture, improve rural infrastructure, developing local industries etc., Ranil must be removed from Prime Minister position.

It's a mess. Don't think it would work out. It will fall apart in no time. Next option is election. Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna has only 45% votes. So election could lead to same kind of composition. It will be a mess again.

If UNP MPs can't get rid of Ranil, they're not fit to govern a country. That includes Sajith. We will have to endure another decade of Rajapakshe rule until a worthy leader emerges from the mess to do what this government could not.
