Police fired tear gas and used water cannon to disperse the protestors of the Inter University Students' Federation (IUSF) at Kollupitiya Junction a short while ago.
The students of the IUSF are protesting against the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM).

Why is the government tolerating this nonsense? These kind of protests should be banned or restricted to an area so that that they can protest until they die. Crazy it is. SAITM is a legal institute.

These protests have reached a climax disrupting traffic and wasting valuable time. High time to find a junk yard for protesters. At yesterday's protest the so called would be doctors, in reality were hooligans of both gender. What can Sri Lanka gain from such a low caliber humans? Sack them all from the medical faculty.
