Fogging doesn't kill mosquitoes. It repels them and they migrate to another area. Major mosquito breeding places are not coconut shells or yoghurt cups. They are the blocked drains and lands that accumulate tons of water after a rain. There is a separate section of Health ministry for dengue control. What do they do??? They have failed big time. Every year number of dengue cases keeps on rising.

The reason dengue is on the rise is because the people of SL are lazy, they should know not keep stagnant water, all they have to do is help themselves by removing any water that is a source breeding mosquitoes.

Hopefully those covered drains in Negombo Urban areas teaming with mosquitos observed by me way back 7years ago are now attended to combat the Dengue issue . ,,The water stagnates as the gravity flow was never established, to take the water down to the wet land areas around the city ...and the wetlands of yore have been now prime property so I do not know how the town planning authorities would establish the water to run off without being stagnant or causing floods ....Hopefully now it is attended ..gravity flow planning when erecting drains help to drain the rain wash to an established water body ..or down to the sea .. ..so spraying insecticides that contaminates water is not the only solution or is it ?
