US local dairy market is shrinking due to increasing veganism and increasing dairy intolerance. Really speaking, US is trying to find some international markets to dump their dairy products. Under this circumstances, will it help to develop our dairy industry? Milk production in the US has increased 96% since 1975, reaching an all-time high of 226.6 billion pounds — 26.4 billion gallons — in 2023. Despite the production increase, dairy consumption is dropping: Americans today drink 47% less milk than in 1975.

Here we go with the conspiracy theories. The dairy industry is highly advanced in the USA. Vegans are a shrinking minority. With Asian and middle eastern immigrants rushing to the USA the demand for dairy has never been higher. Compare the dairy consumption of other countries vs Sri Lanka. USA has nothing to gain financially. So just be grateful someone is trying to help.

Cows are Also Responsible For Global Warming Saturday, 27 April 2024 05:44 AM

Cows are all causing global warming. A United Nation report is saying a fully developed cow can emit up to 500 liters of methane each day, which accounts for approximately 3.7 percent of all greenhouse gas emissions. Google it up for more details. Time to stop rearing cows.

Very rarely a sensible and valid comment appears. US does not care about anyone else.other than themselves..there is nothing called US, it is a Jewish state!

Get the Kiwis involved if you want to develop the dairy industry they are the best. Now that you are opening a HC in Wellington that should facilitate things

So what Shah? US drinking less milk has nothing to do with their assistance to SL to improve our dairy industry

The bribes are coming thick and fast. Regardless, the people never see the benefits of these “initiatives”. All projects that succeed in Sri Lanka are individual initiatives sans government assistance.

Not enough grass in SL as all have eaten by SL parliamentarians instead of Punakku!! Then no cows - no milk!!
