Colombo, May 03 (Daily Mirror)- Former Sri Lankan cricket captain and former Minister Arjuna Ranatunga refuted reports that he had joined the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) though he appeared in a May Day rally in Talawakale which Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa had attended.

"MP Palani Digambaram invited me to the May Day rally in Talawakale which was organized by his party. It was not organised by the SJB. I have not joined the SJB," he told the media.

"However, I admire Premadasa as he has made an effort to eradicate corruption involved in Sri Lankan cricket. Premadasa spoke of corruption in cricket in Parliament several times," he said.

This election, foreign countries who have spent are going to get their returns. Same with the agents who have been dealing with. You read the govt as well as private media news any intelligent person will smell it. So it’s best you stick to cricket and don’t take politics too seriously unless you invest expecting a return.
