Both cars will be written, the Audi owner will get a brand new Audi from the insurer, and tax payer will be left to foot the bill for the damage caused to the public infrastructure and clean up and services provided by the police. Govt should demand relief from the at-fault party's insurer for the burden the negligent driver put on the tax payer. Why should public pay for his fault?
