Majority of infected & COVID deaths are of unvaccinated people

Who is responsible. The heath ministry and the government is responsible for this. Not the public. You need to understand that Sri Lanka has a very mature vaccination infrastructure. This was not used and it was done at the whims and fancies of jokers in fancy dress. The delay in the ordering of vaccine was the other. Sri Lanka was expecting the free vaccine for 20% of the population and until then were throwing pots into rivers and a drinking honey. As the saying goes " No Money No Honey".

Last Paragraph is the Most Important; Health Guidelines should be complied with by every citizen or visitor to Sri Lanka, irrespective of position, clergy, caste, creed, gender, race, nationality or whatever, INCLUDING all the authorities in high positions!

The fact that MP's, army, police and their young healthy connections are vacinnated first is outragious and inhuman. Vulnerable people without connections and so without vaccines are dying.

We are over 60 and we are still waiting for the second dose of astrazenican vacc. First dose was taken mid March 2021. We are very concerned when cud we expect to have the second dose?

It is not possible to vaccinate the whole population in one night. It takes months depending on steady supply of vaccines. Supply disruption is out of government control. Then you have internal disruptions too by health officials and the opposition who want to disruption the vaccination drive. In countries where vaccines are abundantly available, the vaccinated rates are not encouraging, take USA for example. So the best defense for unvaccinated is to strictly adhere to health protocols. But it is not the case, we have seen very old grand mother was protesting against Kotalawala act along with a big crowd. Then you are asking for trouble. Even , no vaccine gives 100% guarantee . So people are responsible. At least gor once in your life accept responsibility for your actions.

Today the minister says that the AZ vaccine will get delayed due to Olympics. Blatant lie. You Dr. said that it will come this week? Another lie. Pfizer is being used for the VIPs. Doctors, VIPs all got double doses. Not for the vulnerable people. Shame on you ! Shame on this government !! Long live the people !!! Cursed are the VIPs robbing the people in daylight!

How about Chairman of Capital Maharaja Group after receiving the two doses of the vaccine. Also what is the position of the people who have taken the Indian vaccine awaiting for more than 5 to 6 months for the 2nd jab

Dr, please give statistics of deaths of the vaccinated and un vaccinated. Eg: Out of the "covid deaths", is it 51% or 75% or 95% who have died without vaccine?
