Health Ministry issues new health guidelines

The Health Ministry today issued a set of new health guidelines to be followed by the general public until August 31.

According to the revised guidelines, only one person per household is permitted to go outside unless engaged in essential services.

The public transport is only allowed to transport seated passengers of the bus/train within the provincial limits.

Private sector offices can be operated with a minimum number of staff required while heads can summon employees outside the province.

Besides, the schools, preschools, universities, tuition classes will remain closed while weddings are also not allowed.

Spas and gyms are not permitted while children’s parks, carnivals, musical shows, and beach parties are also not allowed under the revised guidelines.

However, restaurants can be operated with 50 percent of seating capacity while hotels, rest houses and guest houses are allowed to operate with 25 percent of capacity. The shopping malls can also be opened only for 25% of customer capacity at a time. (Sheain Fernandopulle)

One person per household is permitted to go outside. So, only one person can go to restaurant or guest house! But restaurant can operate 50% capacity. Where is the logic? New man is dead before he was born!

Maybe no one noticed still.. DREAM is only a dream for those walking outside.. I can literally see everyone not sticking to the rules.. at supermarkets they don't even bother checking temperature or names or even if the person has washed their hands.. in hospitals it's just a joke.. crowded places are no different to the good old days.. no one is adhering to regulations.. it's just a joke. People seem to think they're invincible.. I get so ticked off when people come 6 inches of you in a supermarket and then cough..

Absolute nonsense these guidelines are..... Nobody can check and implement these ones. It will be restricted to paper only as usual. The eye wash by the Government to avoid a curfew. Who is fooling whom. BTW it is a great opportunity for everybody to roam about as an employee. What a novel out of the world idea by the President!
