Wesley College began their campaign of the Dialog Schools Rugby League tournament by cruising through to a big 69 points to 12 win over newcomers Prince of Wales in the match played at Havelock Park yesterday.

The outcome of the match was known before the kick-off and the Wesleyites went on a rampage in the second half having taken a comfortable 28-5 lead at the breather as they ended adding another 41 points while making up their points through seven goals and four tries to a goal and a try scored by Prince of Wales.

But the Cambrians had the credit of having breached the Wesley defense twice with the first early in the first half and the second at the halfway stage of the second half.

For the Wesleyites, Shifan Intikhab and Manuga Jayaweera were the pick of the players with the duo scoring two tries each.
