Under-19 Inter-District Kapilan, Ganeshamurthy guide Jaffna U19 to victory

A fine knock of 95 by Kapilan Amalan and a four-wicket haul by Ganeshamurthy Kawshikan paved the way for Jaffna U19 to record a comfortable 99-run victory over Mullaitivu U19 in their Under-19 Inter-District Provincial Limited Overs Tournament encounter played in Jaffna.

Kapilan’s knock helped Jaffna, after taking first lease of the wicket, post a score of 213 runs, while Ganeshamurthy’s four wickets enabled them to restrict Mullaitivu to 114 runs.

Trincomalee U19, along with Nuwara Eliya U19 and Kandy Zone 2, emerged victorious in three other matches played in Ampara, Kandy and Gampaha.
