A five-wicket haul by Udula Viswajith saw Dharmapala College defeat Rahula College by 36 runs in the 9th Limited over encounter of the Battle of the Golden Lions yesterday.
With the win, Dharmapala extended their series lead to 6-3.
Selak Peiris and Janiru Wijewardena gave Rahula some hope with a 62-run stand for the 8th wicket to take the home team from a disastrous 48/7 to 110/8.
On being invited to bat first, Dharmapala, helped by many missed opportunities, batted out their full complement of fifty overs to reach 154/9. Nirmal Colombage topped the scoreboard with an unbeaten 29, while Sadew Gamage was the pick of the Rahula bowlers, capturing three wickets.
