Udula wins RCGC Jetours Monthly Medal

The Royal Colombo Golf Club (RCGC) successfully concluded its May Monthly Medal 2026, sponsored by Jetours, with a strong field of golfers competing across multiple divisions in one of the club’s most anticipated monthly events. The Overall Winner was Udula Wijesinghe.

Udula claimed the title with a brilliant 65 nett, winning on back-nine countback. Wijesinghe also secured the Division B Nett title and added the Division B Gross crown with an impressive 77 gross, completing a memorable double. Abdul Wadood Reza was the runner-up.

In Division A, Manjula Chandrasoma lifted the Nett title with 68 nett, while Sachin De Silva finished runner-up on 70 nett and went on to win the Gross title with an excellent 69 gross, underlining his consistency.

Division C saw Luke Mutukrisna emerge dominant, winning both Nett (65) and Gross (89) honours. Mevan Perera secured the runner-up spot in the nett category with 68.

Among the seniors, Sunimal Salgado won the Seniors Nett title with 68, edging out Wijitha Perera on 69, while Kumar Boralessa topped the Gross category with 81.

In the Masters Division, Gamini Jayaweera completed a double by winning both Nett (68) and Gross (84). Lanka Santha finished runner-up in nett with 69.

The Junior Division belonged to Lithum Silva, who claimed the Nett title with 65, while Yannik Kumara secured the Gross honours with 73. Samika Wickramanayake was runner-up in nett.

In the Ladies’ segment, Kayla Perera starred in the Silver Division, winning both Nett (70) and Gross (71), while Mi Lim Sung claimed the Bronze Nett title and Usha De Silva won Bronze Gross. Shanaz Preena won the Ladies Seniors Nett, with Kalyani Ranasinghe taking Gross honours. 

Special prizes went to Vinuda Weerasinghe for Longest Drive judged in the 8th hole, while Seelanatha Kuruppu won the Closest to the PIN at the 9th hole.
