Tikiri helms CR & FC for another term

Former Trinity College rugby and cricket captain and former CR and FC number 8, Tikiri Ellepola was re-elected President of the Ceylonese Rugby and Football Club (CR & FC) for the 2025/2026 term. 

The decision was unanimously passed at the 96th Annual General Meeting held at the Scrum Down at CR in Longden Place, reinforcing the trust and confidence the club members have in him.

Under his guidance, CR & FC successfully restructured its rugby development pathway, creating a seamless transition for school-leavers into the club setup, ensuring a steady stream of young talent donning the Red Jersey. During his term only CR won the League in 2023/2024.

Former Science College player, Lasindu Karunathilake will become first player from the Mount Lavinia school to lead the Red Shirts when he leads the outfit this year.
