Sri Lanka to field 18-strong squad for Asian U19 and U22 Boxing Championships

The Boxing Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) has selected an 18-member squad to represent the country at the upcoming Asian Under-19 and Under-22 Boxing Championships 2025, to be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from July 30 to August 12.

The team comprises both male and female pugilists across the two age categories, with six coaches and support officials accompanying them.

Under-19 Men’s and Women’s Squad:

Chatumina Warnalulasuriya (St. Sylvester’s College, Kandy),

Sansitha Hettiarachchi (Royal College, Colombo), Aasil Murajudeen (Zahira College, Colombo), Mohamed Azhar (St. Sylvester’s College, Kandy), Kavish Perera (Vidyarathna University College), Ashinshani Herath (Hemamali Girls’ College, Kandy), Gimhani Gamage (Gelioya Sri Pagnanarathana College), Malithi Sri Punsara (Hemamali Girls’ College, Kandy)

Under-22 Men’s and Women’s Squad: Ravindu Jeewantha (Gankanda Central College), Thenuwan Bandara (Royal College, Colombo), Deshan Jayasundara (St. Sylvester’s College, Kandy), Malithi Bandara (Royal College, Colombo),

Mohammed Usaith (St. Sylvester’s College, Kandy),  Ranajitha Pathirana (Royal College, Colombo), Chathuri Jathya (Hemamali Girls’ College, Kandy), Ravindu Fernando (Vidyarathna Sports Club), Kajinthini Loganathan (Omega Boxing Club),Keerththana Udayakumar (Omega Boxing Club)
