Sri Lanka singles winner Apna Perera, Sri Lanka doubles winning pair Thehan Wijemanne and Saha Kapilasena

Host Sri Lanka and Kyrgyzstan ended their league campaign of the Davis Cup Asia Oceania tennis tournament with an unbeaten record by winning their last group matches played at the SLTA tennis courts in Greenpath, Colombo yesterday.
The three set matches went to the wire with the two teams gaining wins by the identical winning margins of two sets to one with Sri Lanka overcoming Northern Mariana Islands thanks to Apna Perera who won a singles event and the doubles pair Thehan Wijemanne and Saha Kapilasena ending on top in the deciding doubles event while Kyrgyzstan got the better of Kuwait.
Four teams will battle it out for the two promotion slots which is scheduled to be played today from 10.00 a.m. with Sri Lanka meeting Kuwait and Kyrgyzstan confronting Qatar.

Singles:
Apna Perera (Sri Lanka) beat Colin Ramsey (Northern Mariana Islands) 2-0 (6/2, 6/3). Colin Sinclair (Northern Mariana Islands) beat Ganuka Fernando (Sri Lanka) 2-0 (6/2, 6/3).
Doubles:
Thehan Wijemanne/Saha Kapilasena (Sri Lanka) beat Tomas Abel/Colin Ramsey (Northern Mariana Islands) 2-6/0, 6/0). Kyrgyzstan beat Kuwait 2-1
