Saracens win Governors trophy

Saracens SC emerged the Governors Trophy limited overs champion when they defeated Sandalanka CC by 22 runs on the DLS method in the final played at the CCC ground yesterday.

The match was marred by rain when Saracens chasing 238 runs for victory were on 132 for 3 having faced 27 overs.

No further play was possible which forced the umpires to stop play and in the revised target of 110 runs in 27 overs at stoppage, Saracens were declared winners by 22 runs.
