Sameera Perera appointed WA bronze-level referee

Sri Lanka Athletics’ former recorder Sameera Perera has been appointed as a WA bronze-level referee by the World Athletics.

He has passed the online examination conducted by World Athletics and has the distinction of being the first Sri Lankan who has achieved such appointments for track and field events.

Sameera, 30, is a lecturer in Sports Science and Management at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura.
