SLG National Ranking Tournament in Rajawella Reshan takes early lead

Reshan Algama cards a 71

Reshan Algama, a promising young golf talent, stamped his authority on the opening day of the Sri Lanka Golf National Ranking Tournament, shooting a brilliant 2-under-par 71 at the Victoria Golf Resort in Rajawella yesterday.

Reshan remained composed throughout, demonstrating exceptional course management, shot control, and putting finesse to return the only under-par score of the day.

Trailing him by two strokes are experienced campaigners Chanaka Perera and Vijitha Bandara, both carding steady rounds of 1-over-par 73, to share second place at the end of day one. 

Haroon Aslam ended on number four with a score of 75 pushing Pathmanathan to number six.
