Renown down Ratnam 3–0

Renown SC registered a convincing 3–0 victory over Ratnam SC in the fourth match of the opening week of the FFSL Super League 2025/26 at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo.

The Football Federation of Sri Lanka (FFSL)-organised tournament features the country’s top 10 clubs and will run until September 15, with a total of 45 matches.

The first half ended goalless after both teams battled evenly and created few clear scoring opportunities. Renown SC dominated the second half, controlling possession and launching a series of attacking moves to score three unanswered goals and seal a comfortable victory.

Aman Faizer opened the scoring in the 54th minute, Fareeq Ahmed doubled the lead two minutes later in the 56th minute, while substitute Muhammadh Shahil completed the scoring in stoppage time (90+3 minutes).

After four matches in the opening week, Upcountry Lions SC and Renown SC lead the standings with three points each. New Youngs FC, Blue Eagles SC, Colombo FC, and Defenders FC have one point each after drawing their opening fixtures.

The final match of the first week will see Sea Hawks FC take on Red Star FC today (20).
