Professional cricket umpires elect office bearers

The Association of Professional Cricket Umpires (PCU) elected their new office bearers at the 26th Annual General Meeting held at the Hotel Gangadhari in Moratuwa recently.

Former Sri Lanka Cricket premier panel umpire Ranjith Wishvakula was unanimously elected the new president and former PCU president Athula Wickramatilleke was elected the secretary. Rangana de Silva was re-elected as the treasurer.

The newly elected committee also includes experience past officials in Elite Panel umpire Asoka de Silva, former president Ranmore Martinez and former ICC Panel umpire Lyndon Hannibal

Wishvakula expressed confidence that with the experience and expertise the PCU possess they could successfully implement their strategic plans and would focus on educating, professional development and mentorship of young umpires for the betterment of cricket in Sri Lanka.
