Madonza, Dilrukshi win Golden Jubilee National Sports Cycling Race

Western Province’s M. Avishka Madonza and North Western Province’s A.M. Dinesha Dilrukshi emerged as the men’s and women’s champions, respectively, at the Golden Jubilee National Sports Festival 2026 Road Cycling Race conducted by the Ministry of Sports in Colombo.

The winners of the men’s and women’s races each received a cash award of Rs. 100,000.

Madonza completed the men’s race in 3:56.26, while Dilrukshi clocked 2:16.03 to secure the women’s title.

The inter-provincial competition attracted 70 male and 30 female cyclists. Western Province won both the men’s and women’s team championships.
