Two exciting encounters await rugby fans at the Nittawela Rugby Stadium as part of the Dialog Schools Rugby League 2025, with St. Anthony’s taking on Wesley today and Isipathana College meetings Rajans at the same venue tomorrow.
Antonians are led by Omitha Dissanayake while Wesley captain is Sandul Gamanpilla.
The Antonians, coached by former national coach, Saliya Kumara are still in search of their first win after suffering defeats to D.S. Senanayake and defending champions St. Peter’s. Despite their spirited efforts, they face an uphill task against a confident Wesley outfit.
Wesley College, coached by Kandy SC forwards coach Henry Terence has looked sharp, notching up impressive wins over St. Joseph’s and Science College. With superior structure and physicality, the Double Blues enter the game as favourites.

On Sunday, the Green Machine will aim to extend their unbeaten run when they face Dharmaraja who are struggling after losses to Zahira and Mahanama. The Rajans will need a massive improvement to challenge an in-form Isipathana side that has already beaten Mahanama and Kingswood convincingly.
Isipathana are expected to dominate proceedings as they continue their charge toward the Cup segment in round two.
