Dinara, Yuhansa and Kaleel advance to semis

Three Sri Lankan youngsters Dinara de Silva, Yuhansa Peirisand and Aahil Kaleel advanced to the semifinals of the SSC - ITF International Junior Week 2 tennis tournament by winning their quarter final encounters played at the SSC tennis courts in Colombo yesterday.

The three players recorded wins against Indian opponents with Dinara defeating Sarthra Entoori by two sets to nil while Yuhansa and Aahil underwent some anxious moments before pulling off wins against Deepthi Wenkataran and Chukka Lakshyawardae by two sets to one.

The semifinals are scheduled to be played today.

Quarter Finals: 

Girls - Dinara de Silva (Sri Lanka) beat Sarthra Entoori (India) 2-0 (6/1, 6/4). Yuhansa Peiris (Sri Lanka) beat Deepthi Wenkataran (India) 2-1 (6/7, 6/1, 10/8).

Boys - Aahil Kaleel (Sri Lanka) beat Chukka Lakshyawardae (India) 21-` (7/5, 4/6, 10/8)
