Dinara, Yuhansa, Thehan and Luca advance to final

The completion of the 111th Colombo Tennis Championship semifinals of the Women’s Open and Men’s Open singles events played at the SLTA tennis courts in Greenpath, Colombo yesterday saw Dinara de Silva and Yuhansa Peiris in the women’s category and Thehan Wijemanne and Luca Knese in the men’s category coming out on top to book berths in the finals.

Dinara overcame Sandithi Usgodaarachchi by two sets to nil and is the defending champion looking forward to retaining the title while Yuhansa underwent some anxious moments before getting the better of Akesha Silva by two sets to one. In the men’s Open Thehan defeated Vichinthaya Nilaweera while Luca overcame Mayooran Kubherane with both winning by the identical winning margin of two sets to nil.

The two finals are scheduled to be played tomorrow.
