Chameera Ginige of the University of Sri Jayawardenepura and Bimandee Bandara of Hillwood College clinched the Men’s and Women’s Singles titles respectively at the Sabaragamuwa Province Open All-Island Ranking Table Tennis Tournament held at the Indoor Stadium in Bandaragama.
This tournament was also conducted as a selection trial to pick the Sri Lanka Team for the upcoming South Asian Junior Table Tennis Championships in Colombo.

Under-11 Girls’ Singles: Chanuki Akshana (Dharmasoka, Amblangoda) beat Yehansa Mirihana (Girls’ High School, Kandy) 3-0.
Under-11 Boys’ Singles: Deranya Kesara (Dharmasoka, Ambalangoda) beat Kenura Silva (Nalanda, Colombo) 3-2.
Under-13 Girls’ Singles: Chanuki Akshana (Dharmasoka, Ambalangoda) beat Nisadi Nimthara (Southlands, Galle).
Under-13 Boys’ Singles: Yenul Abeywickrama (Ananda, Colombo) beat Kenura Silva (Nalanda, Colombo) 3-1.
Under-15 Girls’ Singles: Yoshini Jayawardena (Mahamaya, Kandy) beat Muthuli Shanya (Southlands, Galle) 3-1.
Under-15 Boys’ Singles: Akian Bojith (Dharmasoka, Ambalangoda) beat Naviru Nethshitha (Dharmasoka, Ambalangoda) 3-2.
Under-17 Girls’ Singles: Tamadi Kavindya (Devananda, Ambalangoda) beat Shamalsha Dewmi (Holy Cross, Gampaha) 3-1.
Under-17 Boys’ Singles: Shafiullah Akram (Trinity) beat Janith Batugedara (Royal, Colombo) 3-0.
Under-19 Girls’ Singles: Bimandee Bandara (Hillwood) beat Divya Dharani (Dharmasoka, Ambalngoda) 3-2.
Under-19 Boys’ Singles: Rehan Senanayake (Ananda, Colombo) beat Janith Batugedara (Royal, Colombo) 3-2.
Open Women’s: Bimandee Bandara (Hillwood) beat Maneesha Shalindi (GSM TT Academy) 3-0.
Open Men’s: Chameera Ginige (University of Sri Jayawardenepura) beat Imantha Udanjaya (Army) 3-0.
