A quickfire 79-ball knock of 106 inclusive of ten boundaries and two sixes by Ahan Wickramasinghe and a breezy 88 which had seven boundaries and two sixes by Nipun Dhananjaya paved the way for Sri Lanka Emerging XI tto record a convincing five-wicket win over the West Indies Academy XI in the first of the three ODI encounter played in Antigua.
The pair put on a valuable 155-run stand for the fourth wicket as Sri Lanka Emerging XI chasing a target of 238 raced to victory in the 40th over.
Earlier in the day, the West Indies Academy XI taking first lease of the wicket helped by half tons from Ackeem Auguste, Carlon Bowen–Tucker and Rivaldo Clarke made 237.
