73rd Mercantile Hockey Knockout Tournament begins today

The 73rd edition of the prestigious Mercantile Hockey Knockout Tournament will take place this weekend, July 12 and 13, at the Astro Turf in Colombo 7, promising a showcase of talent, teamwork, and corporate camaraderie.

Organised by the Mercantile Hockey Association, the tournament stands as a cornerstone event on the mercantile sports calendar, continuing a legacy that has spanned over seven decades. Known for uniting professionals from Sri Lanka’s diverse corporate sector through the spirit of competition, the event will feature intense contests among top mercantile teams.

This year’s tournament will see teams vying for honours in three competitive divisions, highlighting the depth and diversity of skill within the corporate hockey community.
