Wesley bowl Trinity out for 193

Trinity College were bowled out for 193 in their Under 19 Inter School cricket encounter against Wesley College which commenced at the Asgiriya Stadium in Kandy yesterday. In reply, the visitors closed day one on 95 for 5.


This encounter is being played in memory of one of the greatest players from Wesley, Richie Kannangar (1914 to 1917) who later was a staff member of Trinity College and lived a majority of the life in Kandy.


Meanwhile, St. Anthony’s College were strongly placed against Dharmaraja College in their Under 19 cricket encounter which commenced at Katugsstota.


The Rajans were shot out for 134 and in reply the Antonians closed the day on 201 for 6 at stumps.


Kavindu Shehan cracked an unbeaten century inclusive of 14 boundaries and two huge sixes.
