Under 17 Cricket S. Thomas’, St. Joseph’s, Trinity enter semis

S. Thomas’ College along with St. Joseph’s College and Trinity College qualified to the semi-finals of the Under-17 Division ‘1’ limited over cricket tournament.  

S. Thomas’ advanced to the semis with a convincing nine wicket win over St. Peter’s College in low scoring quarter-final encounter played at Reid Avenue.  

 St. Joseph’s and Trinity made it to the semis having obtained a better average points up to the completion of the pre-quarter final encounters which was decided after their quarter-final encounters against St. Sebastian’s and Mahinda which was abandoned without a ball being bowled.

At Reid Avenue – S. Thomas’ won by nine wickets
St. Peter’s 62 in 23 overs (Kavindu Dias 5 for 23, Rajindu Tilekeratne 3 for 11)  
S. Thomas’ 63 for 1 in 11.2 overs (Sadev Soysa 16, Arith Adikaram 18 not out)
