Trinity, Mahanama battle for final berth

Defending joint champions Trinity College and Mahanama College Colombo will clash in the semi final of the Under 19 inter-school Division One Tier ‘A’ two day tournament for one of the slots scheduled to be played today and tomorrow at St. Peter’s grounds in Bambalapitiya.   
The two teams played in the same Group X with Trinity led by Sri Lanka youth player Manula Kularatne ending up as the fourth best team to finish after the completion of the league matches to qualify to the quarter final where they overcame DSS with a first innings win.   
Mahanama Colombo led by Duvindu Ranatunga on the other hand ended up as the second best team in the same group before qualifying to the quarter finals and they came out victorious by five wickets against St. Anthony’s Katugastota to book the berth to the semi final.   
The winners of this semi final will meet the winners of the first semi final between Richmond Galle and St. Sebastian’s Moratuwa.
