Thurstan, Vidyartha clash for first win

Thurstan and Vidyartha who are yet to taste victory, will come out for the last time in their league encounter as they lock horns against each other at the Sugathadasa Stadium  in pursuit of their first win. Kick-off is set for 4.15 p.m.

Thurstan have lost all their matches against Royal (74/15), St. Joseph’s (26/5), Trinity (43/19) and Sri Sumangala (33/20) while Vidyartha began their campaign with a draw against St Joseph’s (24/24) but lost their next three matches to Trinity (74/14), Sri Sumangala (23/12) and Royal (29/7).

With the two teams evenly balanced having almost the identical match performances and record, it’s going to be an interesting tussle and left to be seen who will succeed to break the losing hodoo to end the league campaign on a winning note. (MSA)
