Thaveen, Janith, Ravindu steer De Mazenod to semis

Half tons by Thaveen Sanketh and Janith Karindra and a four-wicket haul by Ravindu Silva paved the way for De Mazenod College Kandana to record a convincing 113-run win over St. Servatius’ College Matara in the quarter-final encounter of the Under 17 Division One limited over tournament played at Darley Road.
Sanketh’s and Karindra’s knocks helped the Mazenodians taking first lease of the wicket to make a score of 248 runs.
Later, Ravindu’s scalps, which was supported by Dinosh Jelon, enabled the Mazenodians to bowl out their opponents for a low score of 135 runs. 
They will join Trinity College and St. Sebastian’s College Moratuwa who have already qualified to the semis.
