There are seven national-level tournaments according to the SLVB 2023 calendar, while Sri Lanka will take part in seven international competitions organised by the Asian Volleyball Confederation (AVC).

The local tournaments are the Munchee National Super League Volleyball Championship (March), the DSI Schools Super Sports Volleyball Tournament (April–July), the U-21 National Volleyball Tournament (April–June), the Munchee Novices Volleyball Championship (June–August), the Dialog President’s Gold Cup Volleyball Tournament (August–October), the Dialog U23 Volleyball Tournament (August–October), and the Sunquick National Beach Volleyball Tournament (November–December).

The international competitions Sri Lanka is preparing to take part in are the 4th AVC Women’s Challenge Cup (June 18–25), the 4th AVC Men’s Challenge Cup (July 8–15), the Asian Beach Volleyball Men’s and Women’s Championship (April), the Central Asian Women’s Championship (March), the Central Asian Men’s Championship (April), and the Asian Senior Men’s and Women’s Championship (Men’s in August, Women’s in September).

SLVB has gotten the green light from sponsors to conduct the Munchee National Super League and DSI SuperSport Schools tournaments.

Several national-level tournaments were not held in 2022 due to the adverse economic situation in the country.
