SLG National Ranking Tourney tees off today

Victoria Golf Resort (VGR) in Rajawella will once again play host to a premier event at the National Ranking Golf Tournament today till April 10.

This eagerly anticipated three-day stroke play championship will see the island’s finest amateur golfers teeing off in pursuit of national ranking points, valuable competitive experience, and recognition.

Among the top contenders are Chalitha Pushpika, Uchitha Ranasinghe, Reshan Algama and Jacob Norton. Reshan Algama won the UAE event recently will be one of the favoured golfers at this event.

Jevahn Sathasivam and Yannik Kumara, two top class junior golfers in the amateur circuit will miss out due to their academic terms.

The event is a critical steppingstone for national selection and international representation, making it a significant fixture for all amateurs aspiring to rise through the ranks.
