Sri Lanka will come out for the first time in the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Women’s Tournament when they take on Bhutan in their Group ‘B’ fixture at the Dashrath Stadium in Nepal today.
A total of seven South Asian countries are participating in this tournament, which will conclude on September 19.
Nepal is the third team competing in Group ‘B’ while Group ‘A’ includes Bangladesh, Maldives, Pakistan and India.
Meanwhile, India and Bangladesh have already qualified for the knock-out stage of the tournament by recording victories in their opening matches.
