Reshika co-opted IOC marketing sub-committee

Former Olympian Reshika Udugampola, who is also the Secretary of the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka’s (NOCSL) athletic commission, has been co-opted into the IOC’s marketing sub-committee – the nominee from the South Asian Region.

Udugampola was a member of the 2012 London Olympics Games swimming contingent. A former student of Southland Balika and Gateway International she is now a full-time marketer attached to an international IT firm.  
Commenting on her appointment Udugampola said, “This is a golden opportunity for me to enhance my knowledge and familiarise myself with the IOC mechanics furthermore. In this manner I could reciprocate by guiding the next line of Lankan athletes and may help one of them win an Olympic Gold in the future.”
